Products for MBE

RHEED/LEED Screens, Assemblies, Recoats 

RHEED/LEED screens are manufactured to customer specifications. Mounting holders and glass are manufactured and designed to customer specifications.

We can supply the Coated glass, or we can manufacture the mounting hardware with the screen installed.  Generally, the glass is borosilicate, optically polished with an ITO conductive layer on the inner surface and the outer edge.  The standard phosphor is P43 (Gd2O2S: Tb).  Other Phosphors are available upon request.

Luminescent Products for other Surface Analysis

Scintek Manufactures a wide variety of phosphor imaging products for the material sciences which include micro-channel plates, electro-optics, and diffractive surface analysis applications along with customizable designs for short run projects that require a phosphor coated surface. Our products mainly use Borosilicate, Fused Silica, and protective leaded glass of various types although other substrate types are available upon request if needed,

 

We also design and fabricate the mounting hardware for any size conflat flange.  All coatings are perfectly uniform, durable and the thickness of the phosphor layer is a dense 10-15 microns giving you added brightness and sharper clarity.  For surface conductivity, we offer either a transparent conductive layer of ITO on the glass or an aluminum overlay over the back of the coating ( which also adds brightness) or both. Whether the priority is resolution, brightness, decay speed or durability, Scintek offers the best products with competitive pricing. High-resolution Scintillators, Phosphor Imaging Plates

We manufacture scintillators for digitital imaging applications ranging from Electron Microscopy and Electro-Optics to various X-Ray applications. In many of these applications, it is imperative that with ultra high resolution, brightness, signal to noise ratio and uniformity are optimized to the highest level. Resolution requires an ultra thin coating, brightness requires dense compact coating and a bright reflective aluminum overlay. These types of imaging products are our specialty.

Customized Phospher Products

Scintek can design and customize virtually any scintillator or phosphor imaging product for just about any application. We stock some common sizes  of glass and material (listed below), or we can fabricate whatever material you need. Coating thickness can range from a few microns op to 100 microns depending on brightness and resolution needs. If needed, a transparent conductive coating can be applied to the substrate. In most cases, an aluminum overlay can be deposited over the back of the coating (which adds brightness and conductivity)

Scintillator Sheets

Mylar, Aluminum, Stainless, Brass, Carbon Fiber

Phosphor coated sheets and scintillators have been used in the  X-ray and diffraction field for some time. In fact, some of our screens have been used in Genome analysis.  Materials are generally clear mylar, aluminized mylar, white mylar ( 2 mil or 5 mil) as well as thin stainless and aluminum sheeting.  Other substrate materials are available upon request and the size can range from a square centimeter up to 30cm (~12").  Larger sizes are available. Thickness varies from 15 microns on up to 100 microns depending on brightness and a l/p resolution  requirements.
